Many businesses now outsource their non-core work, such as calling and receiving calls from prospective customers, to BPO call centers.  These types of work are transactional work that does not need to be done from a corporate office or even in the same country as the corporate office.  The outsourcing of the calling and receiving calls can cut down on the overhead costs of many businesses by limiting the personnel needed and the space required to house the personnel by hiring BPO call centers.  This also cuts down on the benefits plan of the business, because less personnel means less benefits are needed.

The type of calls that BPO call centers usually provide are calls either to the potential customers or from them.  These calls can include cold calls, which are calls that are not from previous customers.  The operator, or the employee of the call centers, then follows a script that is provided by the business that is doing the outsourcing or developed with the help of the call center.  This script often details what the product is, the benefits of the product, the cost of the product, and if there are any current deals or sales pertaining to the product.  If the prospective customer decides to become a customer than the purchase of the product can be done though transactions in the programs specified by the business that hired the business processing call centers.

The transactions done by the BPO call centers then are forwarded to the business and the orders are filled in a timely manner.  The call centers gets a set amount per transaction or per period of time and the business saves money from not having to hire each individual person, but rather outsource to another company.  This is often discussed between the two companies.

The money that is saved by the business hiring the BPO call centers is substantial.  Rather than having to go through the costly process of hiring personnel to do the transactions and calling for them, they are able to hire a company specialized in that.  The business does not have to pay for benefits such as vacation and health insurance for the employees.  The business does not have to set up an area specifically designed to handle calls, which would include desks, computers, phones and software.  The benefits financially to outsource the calling of customers by hiring BPO call centers are substantial and a big money saving help to growing and establishing companies. Moreover, by hiring the services of these call centers, businesses and/or companies are able to cut down on the time needed to advertises and sell their products, which is also a way of saving money.
